Eat for fuel! Eat to be nourished! Eat for nourishment!

Grasp and understand at least the basics of what food does in your body and for your body. Grasp and understand what moderation is as well as what your moderation is.

If we eat to be nourished and create that mindset, we will start to seamlessly crave and reach for whole fresh foods that give us the minerals, proteins, and all the nutrients the body thrives on. We want to use food to rejuvenate and regenerate our body instead of deteriorating and destroying our body.

Food can be our best friend and our worst enemy. I think we all can agree on that. Instead of going on a diet I believe making the correct lifestyle changes that can fit into your lifestyle makes the most sense and has the very best outcome.

That truth will never change. If you create change that enhances your health and well-being it will naturally create new habits that will last a lifetime. Feeling your best is what you are worth. There are a lot of diet’s and a lot of mixed information out there. It is very easy to get confused and convinced that one way may work.

I recommend eating at least 90-100 grams of lean protein a day. Protein is the best source that will regulate insulin levels, blood glucose, and hunger hormones. Keep carb intake on the lower side and eat carbs that fuel your body not empty and drain your body. Be careful with eating too much fiber. Fiber can make us feel heavy and bloated, we really don’t need as much as we may be told.

Listen to your body and pay very close attention to what it feels like to feel nourished and fueled.
