The importance of lean, healthy muscle

Starting in our 30’s our hormones begin to decrease or create a form of resistance, which is part of our natural aging process. A major effect of aging is the involuntary loss of muscle mass, strength, and function, which leads to sarcopenia.

Muscle loss is linked to a reduced metabolic rate (slower metabolism). This means you are more likely to gain body fat because you have less muscle mass to burn calories.

Muscle is our largest organ, it is a huge metabolic organ, and lack of healthy muscle becomes the cause for all sorts of diseases and conditions.

We know aging is a natural process we all go through. Aging in and of itself isn’t a problem or issue except when it begins to affect our overall quality of life.

Our body runs from our metabolism, so addressing and supporting the metabolism (engine) makes the most sense for our overall health and wellness.

Resistance muscle training is the absolute best way to develop and get all the phenomenal benefits this large organ (muscle) has to offer us. Muscle is known as the organ of longevity. How do you want to age? We have control, we just need to know what to do and how to do it.

Some benefits of healthy lean muscle include:
